Le Monde des La Trémoille dans le premier XVIIe siècle
http://perso.orange.fr/jeanluc.tulot
The La Trémoille family, dukes of Thouars, counts of Taillebourg, Bénon, Laval, Montfort, Quintin, viscounts of Rennes, marquis of Espinay, barons of Vitré, Didonne and L'Ile-Bouchard owned property all through western France, and their archives relate to the history of Poitou as well as Saintonge, Maine and Brittany and that of Sedan, Turenne, Limeuil and Lanquais through the correspondence of Elisabeth of Nassau, duchess of Bouillon, with her sister Charlotte-Brabantine, duchess of La Trémoille. Surprisingly, their history during the 17th century is little known, probably because they were Protestant. The site offers readers transcriptions of letters relating to the La Trémoille family, their agents and their acquaintances. |
